Valentine Projects

Well, Valentine's Day is here and while I am not a big fan because I feel it is too forced, I do have someone special in my life for whom I made the below card.  I found it on Stampin' Connection and CASEd it from Tamara Bertram who CASEd it from Mindy Backes.  I added my own changes to it, which included adding a lot of texture.  I love Stampin' Ups! embossing folders!

stamps: PS I Love You
card stock: whisper white, early espresso, real red
tools: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, hearts framelit die, houndstooth embossing folder
Below are a couple of projects that I made using inexpensive frames, card stock and retired designer paper.

Don't forget it is Sale-a-bration time!!

Coaster Purse Directions

I have had so many people ask for the directions on how to make the coaster purse that I decided to show the video that shows how to make it.  I didn't make the video, so I hope it is ok to show it here.  If I find out it isn't, I'll remove it.
Thank you for all of the positive comments about this project.

Coaster Treat Purse

I love making 3d items and when I saw this coaster purse in the 3d archives of Stampin' Addicts, I knew I wanted to give it a try.  I call it a treat purse, but it could hold 3x3 cards as well.

I  used Love Letter dsp and a piece of black dsp from the Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack- Neutrals Collection.  (That is a mouthful!)  The ribbon is 5/8 " basic black and the cardstock is riding hood red.  I just happened to already have the flower made and it matches perfectly.

Treat Holders

The Late Night Stampers challenge this week has been to make a treat holde,r and it has taken me all week to get these uploaded.  I haven't posted since Monday which is unusual for me.  I have just been really busy.
I cased these treat boxes from a scrapbooking magazine.  They are supposed to be made from a sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock, but I didn't have any in the color green that I wanted so Frankie is small.  He is just the size for a small treat.

The jack-o-lantern is made from a piece of 12 x 12 piece of cardstock and is the perfect size for a treat such as popcorn.
