I am participating in two challenges, but I am bad about posting my completed pages. The first two are 6x6 pages I made for the His Holy Name Challenge. Each week we are given a new word. The last picture is a canvas creation for Scripture Challenge 2009. I am actually making 3x5 cards for this challenge, but for trust I decided to use a 5x7 artist canvas. I love using canvas!!!! Click on the blinkies on the side of my page to check out both challenges!

Seeing Spots

For such a simple card, it sure has given me fits from creating it all the way to scanning it.
I wanted to create a card using one of the retiring SU! stamp sets so I used the set Seeing Spots.

This is an inexpensive sets that is very versatile. Today I used it to make
a card for my soon to be 11-year-old. I used a 6x6 piece of riding hood red
card stock folded in half to make a 3x6 card, perfect for putting money in. My
boys always enjoy money gifts!
The spots are stamped in riding hood red onto a 2x6 piece of whisper white.
Happy birthday is stamped in riding hood red onto kiwi kiss card stock. The kiwi kiss
circles at the bottom were punch with a 1/4 inch hole punch and topped with
a little crystal effects.

Next, I hope to post a scrapbook page featuring Seeing Spots. It is one of my favorite sets!

This first image was created on a 5x7 canvas. I got the idea from someone, but don't remember whom.
I first painted the edges with brown painted and then covered the top with dsp from stampin' up! All other papers are SU! also. I used my big shot to cut out the top note and then inked the edges with chocolate chip ink.

This card was made using a sketch from a challenge on Splitcoast stampers. The paper is baja breeze dsp. I stamped the image using baja breeze ink.

I hope to post another project tomorrow.Posted by Picasa

Mother's Day Gift

This is the gift I made for my grandmother. I used Paula Goff's tutorial.

The inside of this is created with envelopes covered with dsp.

Mother's Day Gift

Here is the Mother's Day Gift I made my mother. The outer cover was made from a piece of cardboard from a cereal box and covered with decorative paper.

The inside pages are made from sealed envelopes covered with paper and cut open on one end.

Here are a few of the pages.

Gift Ideas

Thought I would share a few more recent creations. The first picture is a post it note holder that I CASED, of course, from Maria Bell. (She has great tutorials!)
It is made from 4x4 coasters, SU! designer paper, SU! ribbon, and flowers I bought on a stem from hobby lobby and took apart.

The jars below hold sugar scrubs. My friend Angela got the idea from one of her Martha Stewart magazines. The jars are Ball canning jars. Aren't they cute?! The rest of the supplies, except for the pink ribbon, were hers. Can't beat that deal! lol.
The mixture was super easy, and we had a lot of fun making it.
She ordered the bamboo spoons off the internet, but I don't know where. I need to find out because these ensembles will make super gifts!

This is a picture from Britt's wedding.

This is a note pad I made using SU!'s top note die and bashful blue dsp. I CASED it from Tanya at Tinkerin In Ink with Tanya.

This is a finger nail file/buffer that I use for a sanding block. I got it at the dollar tree for $1.
