Love U

Yes, I know that Valentine's Day is over, but this is  the scrapbook page my stamp club made this week.  I started out CASING this page from Denise Cox on Stampin' Connection, a website for SU demos only.  I changed a few things to make it my own, but the overall feel came from Denise.

Valentine Projects

Well, Valentine's Day is here and while I am not a big fan because I feel it is too forced, I do have someone special in my life for whom I made the below card.  I found it on Stampin' Connection and CASEd it from Tamara Bertram who CASEd it from Mindy Backes.  I added my own changes to it, which included adding a lot of texture.  I love Stampin' Ups! embossing folders!

stamps: PS I Love You
card stock: whisper white, early espresso, real red
tools: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, hearts framelit die, houndstooth embossing folder
Below are a couple of projects that I made using inexpensive frames, card stock and retired designer paper.

Don't forget it is Sale-a-bration time!!

Love

In case you haven't noticed I haven't posted since October.  That is
because my life has been absolutely crazy since August.   It's a tragic story but there is a happy ending.  God has taken care of me every step of the way.  He has blessed me in ways I could never imagine.

I am back to crafting again and have several projects to share with you in the next few days.  Normally,  am not a big Valentine's Day fan but this year I have decided to not be a valentines scrooge.
My first project was inspired by a project on Oopseydaisyblog.
Isn't it cute?  It is made out of a 2x4 board cut into 6 and 5 inch lengths.

I painted the blocks red with spray paint, cut out my letters, tore my paper to fit and modgepodged everything on. Easy peasy!
The background paper I used is called First Edition and looks like pages from a vintage book.  I love it!
Don't forget it is Sale-A-Bration time.  Time to earn free products!!

Witch's Boot

Have I got some projects for you!  I have been busy making fall and Halloween projects and I can't wait to show them to you.
I'll start with the following witch's boot.  My friend, Angela, found this boot and pattern online, but I forgot to ask her where.  I used the pattern provided, Stampin' Up paper and ribbon and came up with the below framed Halloween decoration.  I don't usually do Halloween decorations, but this was too cute a project to pass up!
I apologize for the quality of the photo.  I waited until nighttime to take the picture.

I used the designer paper Frightful Sight.

The statement was computer generated.

Supplies:
Paper: Frightful Night dsp, Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black,  and Whisper White

Ribbon: Whisper White 5/8 satin, and Old Olive 1-1/4 striped grosgrain (retired)

JUGS Challenge

Well it is about time I managed to post again.  I am going through some really difficult trials in my personal life and because of it my blogging has taken a back seat.  I do believe I have walked through the fire and fnally come out on the other side.  My desire to create is returning and with that desire I created the following card.

I LOVE the products that I used on this card.
I used the stamp sets Gently Falling (123804), which can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog, and Thank You Kindly (111700), which is in the main Idea Book and Catalog.
Gently Falling Clear-Mount Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!
I love autumn and Gently Falling is the perfect stamp set for it.  Each leaf in the set has two stamps, an outline and the inside.  This time I used only the outline of the stamp.  I stamped it on a piece of very vanilla that on which I had applied three different colors of ink, pool party, soft suede, and more mustard, using sponges.
The designer paper I used is also in the Holiday Mini catalog and is called Spice Cake (124003).  The colors in it are soft suede, pool party, more mustard, pear pizazz, river rock, and very vanilla.  You have to see it in real life to see how beautiful it is.
Spice Cake Designer Series Paper - by Stampin' Up!

I got the sketch for this card from the this weeks challenge at JUGS.

Love, love, love

I love, love, love this project for many different reasons.  First of all, daffodils are my very favorite flowers, and look how easy they are to make using the fun flowers bigz die and some buttons.  I am going to have to make some of these very soon.
The other thing I love about this project is the hello, doily background stamp embossed in white.  It looks so elegant!  I can't wait to get this stamp!

Shabby Chic and Last Day Of Promotion

Don't you love the shabby "chic-ness" of the card below.  It is CASED from a couple of different cards that I saw on Stampin' Connection (demo online website). I combined two or more ideas I saw on other cards and came up with this one.  Of course, though when I went back to see who I had CASED, I couldn't find the cards anymore.  I usually save the ones I CASE in my favorites, but they weren't there.  I do always like to give credit when I borrow someone else's design and/or idea.

I have really got to take a photography class, because this card really does look better in real life.
This one of the cards that my stamp club made this month.  Later this week, I'll show you the other card that we made.  It is a completely different style from this one.

I would list the stamps, accessories and etc. that I used on this card, but I am out of town for the next several days and apparently left home without my Idea Book and Catalog!!  Can you believe I did that?!  I did remember to bring the supplies to work on a card swap that I am participating in though.

Oh, and I wanted to remind you that today (7/31) is the last day to join SU! as a demonstrator for the low, low price of $99.  You really don't want to miss this opportunity so contact me ASAP!

Ribbon Share!

Rose Red 1/2 Inch Seam Binding Ribbon - by Stampin' Up!
Have you ever wanted a lot of the Stampin' Up! ribbon, but knew you didn't need 10-15 yards of each color?   Or maybe you fell in love with one particular style of ribbon, but couldn't afford to buy it in all the available colors?  Well, me too, for both of the above, therefore, I have decided to do a ribbon share.  What is a ribbon share?  It is where you buy a share of a roll of ribbon.  For example,  this month I am going to offer a ribbon share for the seam binding ribbon.  Since, I have never done this before, I am starting small and only offering the seam binding.  If this goes well, I will be offering more shares in the future for some of the other ribbon.
So for the seam binding the cost is $17 for  a total of 19 1/4 yards of seam binding ribbon, which includes taxes and shipping to me.
The colors you will be receiving are always artichoke, baja breeze, cherry cobbler, crumb cake, pear pizazz, rose red (pictured above), and very vanilla.  You will receive 2 3/4 yards of each color.
If you would like to participate in this share you need to email me your:
name
email address
mailing address
and phone number
I will then send you an invoice from paypal to your email address for $17.  When I receive the ribbon, I will divide it all up, package it,  and send you an invoice for the cost of mailing it to you.
I need at least 7 people to participate in this share.
So don't delay!  Here is a way to get the ribbon you want in all the colors in all the styles over the next few months starting with the seam binding ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to hearing from you,

A Daddy's Love

Below is a picture of my great-niece not long after she was born.  She is now 18 months or so.  Anyway, I have been meaning to scrap this picture and few others for awhile now and am finally getting them done.
I tried something different this time by placing my title down the side of my page.  I got this idea from a book titled, Embellished Emotions for Scrapbookers.

For this page I used one strip of retired dsp on the title and the soon to be retired photo corners punch.  If you want this punch be sure and order it by the 30th or it will be too late.

I used real red, basic gray, basic black, and whisper white card stock. I used the heart to heart, full heart extra large, and the eyelet border punches.
