Last Day of Celebration

Today is the last day of SALE-A-BRATION!!  To get free stamp sets while you can go to my website and click on shop now!  You get a free stamp set for every $50 of product that you order.
The card below was cased from Sandi MacIver.  I had to changed some of the colors and left off the sentiment she used because I didn't have the same supplies. And to be honest I like hers much better, but whenever I case someone I nearly always learn something.  For instance, I haven't used my blender pens nearly enough and I didn't realize how much shading and depth you could add with them.  Of course you can't tell any of that from my photos, but trust me you can shade and add depth with blender pens.
The stamp set used below is Sweet Summer, and it is perfect for using your blender pens.

Below is the inside of my card.  I always like to add a whisper white panel to write on when the card base is dark.

More Bliss

Here is one more project using the Bliss stamp set that you can only get for free during sale-a-bration, and SALE-A-BRATION IS ENDING TOMORROW, MARCH 31ST. If you want this stamp set go to my website and order $50 or more to get it for free.
When creating this card, I started out CASING a card made by Kimberly Van Diepen, but I didn't have quite the same supplies. Therefore, my card doesn't look much like hers at all. She did definitely inspire me though.

Because this card doesn't have a sentiment on the front you could use it for just about any occasion.
This card looks much better in real life. For some reason the stamped image is not showing up in the picture very well.

Sale-a-bration Bliss

Here is a scrapbook page I made for the abc scripture challenge that I am participating in. You can find details of the challenge here.
I used the colors soft suede and baja breeze, one of my favorite combos.  I used the stamp set, Bliss.  You have until the 31st to get this stamp set for free during sale-a-bration.  It is such an elegant and versitile stamp set.  Tomorrow I will show you a card I have made using this set.
You can't really tell from the photo but I spritzed the page with some vanilla shimmer smooch spritz, and it is really glimmery in real life.  I also used a few of the basic pearls for accents in a couple of places.  I used the billboard sizzlet strip to spell the word delight.  I like using the sizzlet strip because you can cut out so many letters at one time.  The journaling is written on a piece punched out with the 2 inch scallop circle punch.

Quick and Easy Stamp Club Cards

I have an up-up-line, LINDA GUTIERREZ, who is very generous about sharing ideas with her downline. The cards below are examples of quick and easy cards she has made.  She showed how you can buy approximately $50 of products and by using those products and a sale-a-bration stamp set only, you can make some really cute cards. I thought this was a good way to show my stamp club how easy it is to make a quick card that still has that wow factor.  These are just two of the examples that Linda made in this style.  She made 5 or 6 in this style all together.
The color on the first card is poppy parade.  The paper is from the hostess level 1 paper pack. The card itself is a note card that comes in a pack of twenty cards and envelopes.

I love decorating the envelope as well as the card.

The color on the next card is concord crush.  It is such an intense, rich color.  I love it. I haven't worked with the In colors a lot, and I don't know what I was waiting for.  I love them!

These are just two of the cards we will be making in my stamp club this month.  Tomorrow I will show you two more quick and easy cards that are made in a totally different style.

More Sew Suite

Here is another card using the stamp set, Sew Suite, which is available in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The focal point of this card was cased from Sherri Barron, a very talented stamper and fellow demo.  I don't know her but I love her work which I discovered on Stampin' Connection, a website for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.

I used two different designer papers on this card, Sweet Stitches and First Edition.

The focal image is popped up on dimensionals, and the entire card has been distressed to give it a vintage look.

Sew Suite

To make this card I used the stamp set, Sew Suite.  It is a really cute set that can be found in the Occasions Mini Cataglog.  I used the designer paper, Sweet Stitches, and the layout came from this week's sketch at Stamping 411.

I colored the thread and the spools with Stampin' Up! markers, cut them out, and popped them up on dimensionals.

Don't forget it is sale-a-bration time until the end of this month only.

More Birthday Pictures

I got to attend an all day crop today, and this is one of the pages I completed.  I definitely have spring fever, and it shows in my page.  I used the colors, daffodil delight and tempting turquoise for this page.  The colors are much brighter in person. I also used the bold brights designer series paper stack.

To make the flowers I used the fancy flower extra-large punch and cut slits between each petal.
I used the one inch circle punch for the centers.

You can't tell from the photo, but I sponged the petals on all the flowers, and I used my finger to shape each petal and make them dimensional so that they are not flat on the page.

Thinking of You

I got the idea for this card from a card in magazine.  I switched it around and use Stampin' Up! stamps.
It is hard to see in the picture, but I started with a  whisper white base and then sponged bashful blue all over.
The stamp sets  I used are Season of Friendship and the new set, Nature Walk.  The sentiment is from Trendy Trees.

Don't forget Sale-a-bration is going on until the end of the month!

Confidence- ABC Scripture Challenge

Confidence  is the 3rd word in Patter's ABC Scripture Challenge.  Can you tell I am ready for spring?  The two colors I used are daffodil delight and tempting turquious.  You almost need you sunglasses to look at this page!
I used the go go boots sizzlets set to spell confidence.

This is a verse that I need to be reminded of often.  No matter how much the Lord has done for me, I am ashamed to admit,  I am still a worrier.  As Christians we can go confidently in the Lord and that is what I strive to do.  I just wish my flesh wasn't so weak to the temptation of  worry.
I am not where I need to be, but thankfully, I am not where I used to be.

I got to go spend time at a friends house Friday and catch up on some of my scrapbooking.  She is such a good friend, I even have my own desk at her house.
Anyway, below are a few of the pages that I completed while there.  I used one sheet of retired dsp.  The rest is current cs and dsp.
I titled this two page layout, little booger, because if you look closely enough her nose might be just a little bit crusty. LOL   I couldn't help it. The pictures are too cute not to scrap.

This is the second side to the above layout.
Below are pictures of my fifteen year old son, being sweet with his 1 year old cousin.  I love these pictures.

And finally, below are Luke and Addi.  Luke is my brother's and Addi is my niece's, so that makes them......cousins???

I tend to be a minimalist when I scrap.  I don't mean to be that is just the way I scrap.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I have never made a St. Patrick's Day card before, but when I ran across Ann Fitzgerald's blog, I knew I wanted to make one.  She shows how to make the clover using the two-step bird punch of all things.

Also to make this card, I used this week's sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

All About Punches

Now I know that it has been several months since Stampin' Up! switched to the new style of punches. However, at my class Monday night I noticed that some people still did not know how to use the new style.  So I thought I would post a video by Stampin' Up! that shows and explains all about the punches.

I hope this video has been helpful. If you have any questions be sure and send me an email. If you would like to order any of these punches click on the link below.

Coupon Holder

I have recently gotten back into couponing in a big way, and while I have a coupon binder for organization, I wanted something cute to put the coupons in when they are in my purse.  To create this coupon envelope I took apart an envelope that I had gotten from the bank and traced it.  I then cut it out, and glued it together.  To keep it closed, I created a belly band and added a heart punched out of glimmer paper.

I used the designer paper, Love Impressions, simply because I love it.  The project itself has nothing to do with love except that I LOVE my coupons! LOL!

Simple Valentine Card

I guess I am not much of a romantic because even though I love my husband of 17 years very much, I am not really big on Valentine's Day.  I guess it is the commercialism of the holiday that ruins it for me.  I have however managed to make one Valentine so far though.
It is a simple, almost a clean and simple, card but there is one thing I especially like about it... the hearts made out of GLIMMER PAPER!  If you haven't tried it, you need too!  Just a little glimmer paper can go a long way towards transforming a project.

I forgot to attach my ribbon to the dsp before I attached it to the card.  To hide the ribbon ends on the inside of the card, I placed a thin strip of dsp over them.
I also placed a white piece of cardstock on the inside to write on since the card is made out of dark gray cardstock.
The designer paper is called Love Impressions and can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Tomorrow I will show you a project that I made using it that has nothing to do with Valentine's Day.

Birthday Card

Finally, I got to sit down in my scraproom and create.  It seems like forever since I have made a card, and I actually got to make more than one today.  The one I am showing to you now is a birthday card I made for my mother-in-law.  She is very crafty in that she sews, crochets, knits, and quilts. Therefore I knew the dsp, Sweet Stitches, in the Occasions Mini Catalog, would be perfect to use on a card for her. And I especially love the pages that have all the buttons on them.  I love all the different colors and designs on those pages.  It's like sorting through your grandma's button box!
I used the stamp sets, Perfect Punches and Button Button.  I used fun, fun accessories like tangerine tango pom pom trim and Sweet Stitches buttons.  You really need to try both of these products out.  You will love them!

For the inside of the card, I used the 3/4 inch and 1/2 inch circle punches to punch out various buttons from the dsp which I then glued to a piece of whisper white cardstock that I had glued to the inside of the card.
