Upcoming Class Projects

Below are a couple of projects that my monthly class will be making next week.  The card is similar to one I saw on Pinterest.  I love how bright and cheerful they are.  I used scraps from the Brights Designer Series Paper collection.  I love bright cheery colors.

The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set and includes a matching sentiment on the inside.

Below is a 12 x 12 scrapbook page that I made using the same basic layout as the above card.

The title is from the stamp set  Word Play.

Framed Art

Can I just say that I loooooove my framed art which is shown below.  It was so much fun to make!!  The inspiration for this piece came from a fellow demonstrator, Sheila Thibault.  I found her project on Stampin' Connection and instantly knew I had to make my own version.

In the close-ups below you can see all of the texture I put into a lot of the squares.   As you can see, I used several different embossing folders and several different punches.

And while I also used several different colors, the main colors I used are cajun craze, night of navy, and old olive with so saffron, chocolate chip, bashful blue, and real red thrown in for good measure.
The stamp sets that I used are Sweets for the Sweet, Elements of Style, Up Up and Away, Artistic Etchings, Refuge and Strength, and Sincere Salutations (retired.)

Lace Ribbon Punch

Tomorrow, May 31st, is the last day that you can order the lace ribbon border punch.
Below are a couple of projects that showcase the punch.  The first is an 8x8 scrapbook page.  You can see how the punch makes a strip that really looks like a strip of lace.  I love it.

I love the colors used in the card below.  I cased this card off of one I saw on Stampin' Connection.  I just changed the colors and the flower.

Name Frame

I've been busy creating, and one of the projects I have made is the name frame below.  I wanted to hurry and post it because the alphabet dies that I used, Serif Essentials, are about to retire. You only have 'til the 31st to order them.
This name frame is to go into my youngest son's bedroom.  It was very easy to make using the big shot.

I wanted to put some bling on it but my son wouldn't let me.

The frame is a thrifted frame that I spray painted black.  I seem to be on a spray painting kick right now.
Supplies used:  basic black card stock
real red card stock
whisper white card stock
dsp patterns stack - neutrals
stars #2 die

Spring is in the Air

Ok, this in not the best picture.  I was lazy and just took the picture right on my desk.  This is a frame from the $1 store.  I used the sale-a-bration dsp, Everyday Enchantment. Its only available during sale-a-bration so if  you want it, you better hurry.  The last day of sale-a-bration is this Saturday the 31st.

Spring is definitely in the air around here, and I decided it was time for a little springtime decoration.

I used a lot of punches, dies, and embossing folders, and I just love the large pearl jewel that I used for the center of this flower.

Love U

Yes, I know that Valentine's Day is over, but this is  the scrapbook page my stamp club made this week.  I started out CASING this page from Denise Cox on Stampin' Connection, a website for SU demos only.  I changed a few things to make it my own, but the overall feel came from Denise.

Don't forget about Sale-a-bration!

Valentine Projects

Well, Valentine's Day is here and while I am not a big fan because I feel it is too forced, I do have someone special in my life for whom I made the below card.  I found it on Stampin' Connection and CASEd it from Tamara Bertram who CASEd it from Mindy Backes.  I added my own changes to it, which included adding a lot of texture.  I love Stampin' Ups! embossing folders!

stamps: PS I Love You
card stock: whisper white, early espresso, real red
tools: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, hearts framelit die, houndstooth embossing folder
Below are a couple of projects that I made using inexpensive frames, card stock and retired designer paper.

Don't forget it is Sale-a-bration time!!

Love

In case you haven't noticed I haven't posted since October.  That is
because my life has been absolutely crazy since August.   It's a tragic story but there is a happy ending.  God has taken care of me every step of the way.  He has blessed me in ways I could never imagine.

I am back to crafting again and have several projects to share with you in the next few days.  Normally,  am not a big Valentine's Day fan but this year I have decided to not be a valentines scrooge.
My first project was inspired by a project on Oopseydaisyblog.
Isn't it cute?  It is made out of a 2x4 board cut into 6 and 5 inch lengths.

I painted the blocks red with spray paint, cut out my letters, tore my paper to fit and modgepodged everything on. Easy peasy!
The background paper I used is called First Edition and looks like pages from a vintage book.  I love it!
Don't forget it is Sale-A-Bration time.  Time to earn free products!!
