Rich Razzleberry Mini Album

I am horrible about getting pictures posted in the right order so keep that in mind when looking at the following pictures.
This is a mini album I did for a swap. I used rich razzleberry designer paper and Cottage Wall designer paper. I love, love, love the rich razzleberry color and the Cottage Wall paper. It is so rich and vibrant and the designer paper is beautiful.

This is a Metal Edge Tag that I inked with rich razzleberry and in the center placed a crystal flower.

Sneak Peek

Here is a look at one of the cards we will be making at my Christmas Stamp-a-stack this Friday. This card is simple but still elegant. I used the designer paper Christmas Cocoa Specialty from the Holiday Mini catalog. You can't tell in the picture but this particular piece of paper is flocked! It is a beautiful set of papers. The stamp set is a hostess level one set, Holiday Best., and I used the scallop circle punch to punch out the sentiment. This is a very versatile punch that I reach for over and over.

Here are two 3x5 cards I made for the Scripture Challenge led by Patter at Triple the Scraps. One of the words this week is Fear. I couldn't fit both of the verses I wanted to use on one card so I created two. Both verse are from Isaiah and are verses I cling to. Could our Lord say it any clearer than he does in these two verses?
I used baja breeze (retired), old olive, and regal rose card stock. You can't tell in the pictures but I colored in the lines of the butterfly, leaves and the center of the flowers with a jelly roll pen. It leaves a glitter effect. These cards are much prettier in person.

I have an album I am placing all of these cards in, but for now, I think I will display these somewhere so I can completely soak in these verses over the next few days.

Sadly I am not doing well keeping up with my Learn Something New Everyday class. It is really hard some days. I have written down things I have learned but have not made the pages for each day yet. I do want to share something I have learned over the past several days. 2009 has been a very hard year for me as far as grand-parents go. One of my grandmothers passed away in February after suffering a stroke on January 1st.
My other grandmother was in the hospital for several weeks later in the spring, and we thought at one point we might lose her.
Now, my grandfather, who practically raised me, is not doing well. This is a man I love with all my heart, and whom I only see through rose colored glasses. The last two weeks have been full of pain and fear of losing him. And yet as I have prayed and sought the Lord, He is his filling me with peace and acceptance that can only come from Him. I can't change the circumstances, but God has reminded me that I am never alone and that He is enough.
My grandfather is not alone either. Jesus is with Him and if it is his time to go Home, I have the assurance that he will be ushered into Heaven into the Lord's waiting arms.

This is one of my scrap pages for the His Holy Name Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. I used Stampin' Up!'s Autumn Traditions designer papers. I love the rich and vibrant colors in this paper set.

Online Class

I just signed up for an online class that started this morning. It's called Learn Something New Every Day, and it can be found at Shimelle.com. Check back every day or two to see what I am learning. It should be interesting!
