I love Fall, and I love the stamp set, French Foliage. It is so easy to make the leaves look very realistic.
My first sample here is a scrapbook page of my son's school picture. I took my cardstock colors from his shirt and went from there. I had a couple of leaves already made, so I thought why not make a few more, and make the page with a fall theme to it.
Making the leaves is fun and easy. First I inked up my stamp with so saffron. I then used a dauber to ink up the stamp in a few areas with dusty durango (retired). Lastly, I went around the outer edges of the stamp with old olive. Next, I stamped and cut out each leaf. After they were cut out, I again used a dauber and dusty durango to ink all the edges, and I used a sponge and old olive to lightly go over each leaf. I think they turned out looking very realistic.
I used the same technique on the card below. I also used the sketch from Stamping 411 and the challenge from Stampin' Sisters in Christ to complete the card.

ReplyDeleteI love it all! The scrapbook page is very creative. I like that you don't have a ton of photos on the page. That's a very important picture! :D
